The Spiricom noise was taken from original recordings by George Meek and William O’Neil. Due to the frequency of this noise, we do not recommend listening to it for long periods of time. The Spiricom noise fades out then back in again every 30 seconds, this goes on continually for 30 minutes and was designed this way because the noise can be quite exhausting to listen to. Combining the Spiricom noise with other noises featured in EVP Assistant can make for some interesting experiments.

EVPmaker is an experimental software for the generation of acoustic “raw material” for recordings of paranormal voices on tape, also known as “Electronic Voice Phenomena” (EVP). For this purpose, the program divides any recording of speech into short segments and then plays them back continuously in randomly order. The resulting “gibberish” still sounds like speech, but can’t be understood anymore, and is therefore suited as background noise for EVP recordings.

Exif Reader is image file analysis software for Windows. It analyzes and displays the shutter speed, flash condition, focal length, and other image information included in the Exif image format which is supported by almost all the latest digital cameras. Exif image files with an extension of JPG can be treated in the same manner as conventional JPEG files. This software analyses JPEG files created by digital cameras. This software can display the image information in more details than any other Exif analysis software.
